Stitched in Stone has been serving the Kingston, NH, community since 2006, providing a large selection of fabrics, sewing notions, quilting supplies and knitting products to meet a variety of creative needs. The store is a fulfillment of Tammy Romel's lifelong dream to own her own fabric and sewing store, received as a Christmas present from her husband Glen.
Glen cuts fabric, service sewing machines, Fisher Price Power Wheels, scissors sharpening and vacuums, runs the register and does paperwork. Tammy, though mostly confined to a wheelchair, teaches classes and offers customers friendly smiles, helpful advice and personalized service, along with doing pretting much everything that Glen does!
Tammy started sewing at the tender age of five, learning to sew, knit and crochet at the hand of her talented grandmother. Today, Tammy is passionate about passing on these skills to her own grandkids (all nine of them), as well as sharing them with her students and customers. She's an experienced sewing instructor, with twenty twenty years of sewing machine repair and tune up experience. Tammy is also a licensed Martha Pullen teacher, with a solid knowledge of sewing software.
Stitched in Stone provides a variety of classes for sewists, quilters and soft craft enthusiasts of all ages, styles and skill levels, taught by experienced instructors in a casual, no pressure atmosphere where learning is encouraged and creativity blooms!
